Exhibiting at a trade fair is typically a big marketing investment, so once you have decided to do that, you will want to make sure you get the most out of it. Below we have listed four easy, no-cost ways that can help you get significantly more out of your participation.
1. Pre-booked meetings
Be active and try to book meetings for the exhibition days 2 to 3 weeks before the start of the event. The better you have done your preparations, the easier the sales work at the exhibition itself will be.
2. Personal invitations
Send a personal invitation to your cooperation partners, potential customers and other important stakeholders whom you wish to see at your stand.
3. Websites
- Update your company website with a list of the events your company is taking part in during the year.
- Under each event, write down the essential information, such as what the event is about, and perhaps also the reason you are taking part in it (e.g. launch of a new product). Don’t forget to add the names and contact details of the people who will be present at the stand.
- Make it easy for those interested to book a meeting, for example through a simple web-based form.
4. Social media
You can easily extend your visibility beyond the opening days of the exhibition by being active in the social media. Write a blog post or tweet, and you will get more visibility easily and quickly at no additional cost. Remember to use the event’s official #hashtag, as this will increase the chances of your posts being spotted by those who are not physically there.
