Adwatec – D03-24g

Adwatec offers state-of-the-art water cooling for power electronics in different Marine applications, such as large variable speed drives for main propulsion and liquid cooled batteries (ESS applications). The first models of our cabinet cooling stations were designed specifically for the marine industry, considering its specific demands and tough working conditions.

In ships, space is always limited and the smaller the system footprint needed for cooling system, the better for shipbuilders. The Adwatec units are very compact, with cooling skid footprints starting from 300 x 500 mm and cabinet footprints from 400 x 600 mm. Typically, if a cooling station is made to fit into a small space, it results in difficulties in servicing as many of the components are in places impossible to reach without having to disassemble the equipment. Adwatec’s modular construction solves this ship owners’ and operators’ problem. All components are easy to see and reach, which leads to shortest possible visual inspection and service time. Adwatec’s “plug and play” cooling stations are also easy to assemble and use. Commissioning takes only 30 minutes due to automatic de-aerating.

When you want to get the most out your power electronics reliably and effectively, contact Adwatec. We have a comprehensive range of standard cooling stations for various customer needs and we are also able to customize a solution to fit any marine use. Visit us at stand D03-24g to find the perfect water cooling solution for you!

People we would like to meet at the show: Shipbuilders, system integrators and power electronics providers for shipbuilders who want to enable efficient and reliable use of power electronics and use water cooling to cool down the electric components.

Norsepower – D03-24c

Norsepower Oy Ltd is a Finnish clean technology and engineering company pioneering modern auxiliary wind propulsion for the global maritime industry. Its award-winning Rotor Sail Solution technology is a proven, low-maintenance, easy to use, and reliable fuel saving technology, supporting the decarbonization of the shipping industry.

Norsepower Rotor Sails are modernized version of Flettner Rotors. The Rotor Sail Solution is around ten times more efficient than a conventional sail, as more lift is produced with a much smaller sail area. Due to its simplicity, it requires no reefing or crew attention when in operation. It is a “push button wind propulsion” from the bridge. It allows the main engines to be throttled back, saving fuel and emissions while providing the power needed to maintain speed and voyage time.

Rotor Sail technology is currently installed on three vessels (Bore’s M/V Estraden, Viking Line’s M/S Viking Grace, and Maersk Tankers’ Maersk Pelican) and has achieved over 45 000 hours in operation, saving more than 5000 tons of CO2 in the process. The solution has delivered independently verified fuel savings with potential of up to 20%.

Rotor Sail technology is well suited to many ship types such as tankers, bulkers, cargo vessels, Ro-Ro, RoPax ferries and cruise ships. It can be part of the newbuilding project or retrofitted to the existing ship without any off-hire costs.
