Organised biennially in Stockholm in early April, Nordbygg is the largest B2B event for the construction industry in the Nordic countries. The four-day trade show is usually at its busiest on Thursday and Friday. The most recent show featured over 800 exhibitors from approximately 30 countries.
Nordbygg has traditionally been a popular event. In 2014, Wulff Entre helped nine Finnish and six Swedish companies take part in the show. Some participants were first-time exhibitors, but there were experienced ones, too: construction companies who have a strong presence in the Nordic countries are keen to exhibit several years in a row.
Different goals, successes of all kinds
Nordbygg is popular for a number of reasons: our Swedish customers were mostly hoping to boost sales, whereas the Finns were looking for information, benchmarking opportunities and, most importantly, new partnerships and distributors. All of these goals are easy to achieve at Nordbygg.
Our projects included both small and larger exhibits ranging in size from 9 to 72 square metres. From the point of view of exhibition project management, the show was yet another success for us and our customers: the displays were implemented according to plan, they looked good and our customers were very happy.
We expect the same level of success for Nordbygg 2016, and we have already started the design work for this event.
PR and hot dogs
Nordbygg is a buzzing trade show with plenty of promotional activities. In recent years, Swedish companies in particular have been keen to organise PR activities, which in 2014 also included promotions such as hot dog and beer offers at the event. Nordbygg’s fresh, constantly renewing and modern approach to organising trade shows is a major part of its appeal.
In addition, Stockholm is an ideal city for trade shows with its excellent facilities and a well-located, accessible exhibition centre. The capital city’s amenities are within easy reach, and Stockholmsmässan is a modern trade show organiser that delivers with Scandinavian efficiency.
