Medica is the world’s biggest event in the healthcare industry with over 4,900 exhibitors every year from 66 different countries all over the world. This year’s event will be held on 14.-17. November.
Organized annually in Düsseldorf, Medica’s history dates back over 40 years, and last year it was visited by over 130,000 professionals from around 120 countries. Last year there was a significantly large number being from overseas markets in the USA and Latin America, reinforced by visitors from Iran and the Arab countries.
The healthcare market keeps growing, and the boom is guaranteed to continue thanks to the improving health consciousness, technological advancements and growing life expectancy rates, and of course rapid increase in the world’s population.
The attractiveness of Asia and Middle East as market areas is undeniable, but there is considerable potential in Europe as well.
Medica is the prime spot for enhancing exports
Internationalization is not a quick process, and it requires long term work, commitment and vision. Medica is an important meeting point for the old stagers, yet Medica has traditionally been an important stepping stone for companies aiming at international markets as well.
Medica is the main event of the year for many healthcare industry companies in Europe. For some it is the only international event they participate in during the year.
Despite having a long history behind it, Medica has not lost its relevance – quite the contrary. Year after year, all halls have been full, and each year there are even more companies wishing to participate than the halls can fit in.
